City
City is where the lap stops being about commitment and starts being about braking. Three kilometres through downtown with five changes of direction, and one of them is the tightest corner on the roster — a 58-metre radius that will take the whole lap off you if you arrive carrying too much speed. Get it wrong and the next straight, the longest on any circuit here at over 500 metres, spends the rest of the lap reminding you.
Only about a quarter of City is spent cornering, so the rest is long enough to build real speed and long enough to lose it. Seven boost pads reward a driver who has worked out which straights actually pay, and the three-lap version turns that into a different problem again: the nitro resets every lap, so consistency beats one heroic run.
The circuit
Lap records
The author lap is the benchmark every medal on this circuit is measured from — the fastest lap anyone has set here, driven flat out. The track record is the quickest time on the board right now.
| Format | Author lap | Track record |
|---|---|---|
| 1 lap | 0:37.517 | 0:37.098 4IS |
| 3 laps | 1:52.433 | 1:51.599 J6O |

Medal times
Five tiers, struck from the author lap. Bronze is within 5% of it; author means you matched the fastest lap ever driven here.
| Format | Bronze | Silver | Gold | Platinum | Author |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 lap | 0:39.393 | 0:38.455 | 0:37.892 | 0:37.630 | 0:37.517 |
| 3 laps | 1:58.055 | 1:55.244 | 1:53.557 | 1:52.770 | 1:52.433 |
Going faster here
The author lap averages 306 km/h across 3.19 km — above the car’s own top speed, which only happens when both nitro charges are spent somewhere that was already quick. There are 7 boost pads on this lap; each one is worth more on a straight than into a corner. The 58-metre corner is where the time goes: arrive slower than feels right and you will leave it faster.
Every race puts a full grid of recorded laps alongside you, and once you have set a time you race the ghost of your own best run as well. Beating your own ghost is the usual route from silver to gold.
